Gifts For Dog Dog breeders

Raising puppies is rewarding but expensive.

Even though breeding dogs can bring a lot of enjoyment, it's also a lot of work and an expensive venture. Because of this, a gift is a perfect way to recognize the dog breeder among your friends or the breeder who's helped you acquire the perfect pet. Regardless of breed preference, there are a number of gifts from which to select.

Clothing and Accessories

When looking for a gift for a breeder, it's hard to go wrong with a T-shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie that highlights his breed preference. There are even a few companies that will create one of these for a designer dog breeder. Neckties, baseball hats, boxer shorts and even shoes can also proclaim a breed preference. In addition, there are plenty of accessories, ranging from totes to bracelet charms, to go with these.

Household Items

In addition to clothing, breed-specific greeting cards will help the breeder stay in touch with clients, and calendars will help him stay organized. Ceramic mugs with "I love (breed name)" will make coffee and tea drinking special while breed coasters will keep ring stains off tables. Pillows and blankets showing breed preference are not only decorative but useful as well. And don't forget breed-specific wall clocks, refrigerator magnets and even doormats. Keepsake boxes and mouse pads emblazoned with a breed photo or one of a special dog will also make good gifts.

Showing

For those breeders who also show their dogs, whether in conformation or agility, a messenger bag with a breed photo or photo of a special dog can be used to carry registration papers, health certificates and even dog treats. Ribbon racks are also practical to display awards the dogs have won. Business cards and magnetic vehicle signs provide good advertising. Personalized grooming equipment can keep these items from becoming lost. Name plates for crates used at shows can also provide benefits through kennel name recognition.

Kennel Gifts

Since raising dogs can be expensive, a gift certificate for veterinarian services and vaccinations will be welcome as will bags of dog food and supplements. Puppy training aids and stain removal products are useful items as are leads, leashes and flea control products. Yard signs to advertise the kennel will be welcome as will individual kennel signs to give information and feeding information for each inhabitant. Photos of special dogs the breeder has owned or a photo book including their accomplishments can make good gifts too.
