Occasions In Metrolina Charlotte now

The Metrolina, also known as the Charlotte, North Carolina, metropolitan area, is known for the attractions and events that it sponsors and holds. One major hub for events, the Metrolina Tradeshow Expo is a large marketplace, consisting of four buildings, that holds events throughout the year. Due to Expo's great size, vendors and companies from around the state and country are eager to hold events within the facility.


Dixie Gun & Knife Show


Like many attractions in the Metrolina area, the Dixie Gun & Knife show is held at the Metrolina Tradeshow Expo Center. The gun and knife show has been in North Carolina since 1981.It markets itself as the Carolina's largest show of its kind, and a place where you can buy, sell, and trade merchandise. Merchandise sold includes antique and modern guns, military and sporting guns, surplus and accessories. The show also has hunting, camping and outdoor recreational equipment.

American Bead & Jewelry


The American Bead & Jewelry Show is periodically at the Metrolina area. Consumers come to see the combination of large and small vendors who provide often one-of-a-kind jewelry. All shows are indoors, and vendors include Dragon Fly Beads, Fire Dragon Bead Co., Lovely Gemstones Jewelry, and Choy International Gems. The show offers the opportunity to take a beading class and allows local bead and jewelry makers to teach classes with fees ranging from $35 to $55, as of October 2010.

StreetWise Drift


The StreetWise Drift motor sport show has been coming to the Metrolina area since 1990. According to the event's leaders, the mission of the event is to ultimately grow the sport of drifting by hosting competitions, demos and practice days and to provide a high impact and entertaining place for action motorsports fans to get involved from the grassroots level up. In addition to the drift racing, the event offers a car show along with food and music. As of October 2010, there is a driver-entry fee of $75, and a general admission fee of $10.
