Kinds Of Crowd Control Obstacles

Steel crowd control barrier

Typically used at public events, such as rallies or protests, concerts, parades and festivals, control barriers help maintain order in crowded events by placing people behind a restricted area. Places of business may also use barriers to keep shoppers out of a certain area that may be private or hazardous. Various crowd control barrier types are available.

Retractable Barrier

The retractable barrier is a retractable belt connected along two poles. This crowd barrier is ideal for a semi-permanent way of crowd maintenance. The barrier holds back crowds for a period of time and can be let through as needed by lifting the retractable belt. The belt operates on a spring mechanism allowing it to be pulled back into place when desired.

Stanchion Barrier

The stanchion post barrier is a common rope barricade. The stanchion post barrier is identifiable by a thick rope connected by two posts. The rope connects to the posts by hooks, allowing officials to remove the rope to let crowds through as needed and replace the rope. Red carpet events, hotels or some night clubs use this type of traditional rope stanchion.

Steel Barricade

Big events, such as rallies or concerts, use interlocking steel barricades for stronger crowd control. These barricades are large, heavy and sturdy making them ideal for large crowd control.
