Dog grooming costs money. However without a good brush, cut an trim your dog maybe uncomfortable or worse shaggy looking. As with any upkeep, the idea of getting your dog the perfect cut on a scheduled basis means some serious outlay of cash. That's why you need to consider how you can get free dog grooming in your town. Here are the steps!

1. Ask at the local pet store if they offer grooming and what discounts they provide if you bring the dog in on a regular schedule. Right now every store needs business and the pets stores will offer an automatic discount if they know you are going to bring in repeat business. You just need to ask for it.
2. Find out if the local dog grooming classes need dogs. Those special breeds that need special cuts are in demand so your dog could be getting a free cut if you ask. Make sure your dog is cut by the instructor and not the students during the class!
3. Talk to your regular groomer to see if they can provide a discount for your business. While they may not be hooked up to a pet store, they may appreciate your business as well as your dog.
4. Talk to the local Veterinarian school to see if they offer grooming for a discount to low income families in your area. Obviously your animal would be groomed by a supervised student, so you may want to accompany the animal during the trim.
