Pet Friendly Beach Hotels In Mississippi

Mississippi's Gulf Coast offers vacationers a variety of activities.

People seeking relaxing vacations and beautiful views of the sparkling Gulf of Mexico travel to beachfront towns on Mississippi's Gulf Coast. Visitors will find golf courses, fishing, casinos, shopping and restaurants serving local seafood. Nature lovers enjoy kayaking, birdwatching and wildlife viewing. Museums focusing on art, history, nature and children's activities attract families. Many pet friendly motels can be found along Mississippi's Gulf Coast but, according to gulfcoast.org, "Regulations concerning allowing dogs on the Mississippi Gulf Coast beaches are different for the three counties: Harrison, Hancock and Jackson County," and dogs are not welcome on most coastal beaches. Since Hurricane Katrina, few motels are actually beachfront, but the sandy beaches are nearby.

Bay St. Louis Key West Inn

Leashed dogs are allowed on Hancock County beaches along the Gulf Coast.

The 44 guest rooms are comfortable and climate-controlled with light wood furniture, pastel colors, two double beds, refrigerator, microwave, free high-speed wireless Internet, 25" color TV, a coffee maker and free continental breakfast.

According to Key West Inn, they "don't just "tolerate" your pets, we appreciate them as well," and they offer a great place for you and your pets to vacation. Pets are welcome in predetermined rooms and must be clean, well groomed and well behaved indoor pets under 35 pounds. They are not allowed on the elevators, lobby or pool area, cannot be left unattended unless they are in a kennel or carrier and must not make noise that disturbs other guests. There is a non-refundable fee of $50 per pet and guests are responsible for the cost of any damages or extra cleaning caused by their pets.
