Register A Purebred Cat

There are two organizations that handle the registration of pure bred cats. One is called the Traditional Cat Association, Inc. It began in 1991 and has grown to the largest cat registry in the world. The North American Purebred Cat registry is run by the same group that organized the highly successful North American Purebred Dog Registry. You can register all breeds of Purebred cats with the NAPCR.


Instructions


1. Go to the Traditional Cat Association's website. Click on the "World's Largest Cat Registry," in the middle of the homepage.


2. Read about the benefits of registering with the Traditional Cat Association, Inc. You get an official record of your cat ownership, recognition of your purebred cat, a permanent historical pedigree archive and the organization records your cat's name and the names of all the cats bred.


3. Click on "Registration" along the top of the screen. A single registration will cost you $10 and you can choose between Champion Stock Cat, Household Pet Cat or Foundation Stock Cat classifications.


4. Complete an application online or on paper. Send your completed application with the $10 fee to the TCA Head Registrar. Mail it to Traditional Cat Association, Inc.

5. Pay online via a secure Paypal website. Include your contact name and information along with your credit card number and expiration date.


6. Read all about the North American Purebred Cat Registry's guidelines and procedures on its website. Click on registration forms on the left side


7. Fill out the form, include the $8 fee per cat and mail it to the North American Purebred Cat Registry, P.O. Box 417, Olney, IL 62450. You'll receive the registration papers within five working days of the organization receiving your form.
