Disney Area Pet Friendly Hotels

Tourists with pets have a range of hotel options near Disney World.

Tourists heading to Orlando, Florida, have a number of pet-friendly hotel options within a few miles of the Disney theme parks, including some major hotel chains. While the Disney Resort hotels do not allow pets other than service animals in guestrooms, there is a nearby kennel that works with the resort to provide pet services and accommodations.

Extended Stay

The Extended Stay Orlando is located just minutes from Downtown Disney; it provides better room rates for longer stays. Guests receive complimentary breakfast and free shuttle service to area Disney theme parks.

Hotel policy allows for one pet per guestroom, although travelers should call ahead as additional pets may stay on the premises at the management's discretion. As of 2010, a $25 per day fee ($150 maximum) is required at check-in; rooms receive professional cleaning after each pet stay.

Nearby dining options include the House of Blues and Kobe Steak House, along with a host of casual restaurants like Pizzeria Uno Chicago & Grill, Tony Roma's and Olive Garden. Orlando Premium Outlets offers designer shops and discount fashion boutiques just 10 minutes from the hotel.

Econo Lodge

The Econo Lodge in Kissimmee, Florida, is just 15 miles from the Orlando International Airport; it's located within two miles of Disney World, Hollywood Studios and SeaWorld. The pet-friendly hotel has 94 rooms; complimentary hotel services include breakfast, weekday newspaper and wireless Internet access. The hotel is close to Old Town Kissimmee; it offers convenient access to local shopping areas like Altamonte Mall and Prime Outlets. A range of nearby dining options include seafood (Fishbone's and Hemmingway's), Caribbean (Bahama Breeze and Samba Room) and casual American (Panera Bread and B-Line Diner).

Days Inn

The Days Inn Maingate East is just three miles from the main entrance to Walt Disney World; it allows a maximum of two pets per guestroom. As of 2010, there is a $10 charge per pet per night. Guests heading to Disney World, SeaWorld, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Center receive complimentary shuttle service from the hotel. Poolside rooms are available upon request.

LongHorn Steakhouse, Cracker Barrel and Chili's are within walking distance, while a number of local eateries dot the drive between the hotel and theme parks. Other area attractions include the Kennedy Space Center and Busch Gardens.
