The grooming educational program focuses on the deconstruction of every step of the pet grooming procedure, starting with proper preparation. Some courses that are part of the program are bathing and drying, advanced styling, tools maintenance and styling. Many different grooming tools are necessary for successful completion of the school, such as blades, clippers, mat combs, toenail clippers and hemostats.

Petite Pooch is in Carrollton, Texas, and specializes in dog boarding, grooming and daycare. Petite Pooch is home to a grooming academy that has certification from the Texas Workforce Commission Career Schools and Veterans Education. The duration of the grooming course is 11 weeks, Mondays through Fridays.
