Entrepreneur Job Ideas

Opening a computer repair service provides one business option for entrepreneurs.

An entrepreneur, according to Merriam Webster, is one who organizes, manages and assumes the risks of a business. They are the boss and owner; the person that risks the most.

Entrepreneurs may chose to start a home business, develop a franchise, or they may have an entirely new product. According to Entrepreneur Magazine, franchises have the highest success record of the three, but require more start-up money than a small home business. The entrepreneur may need to raid a retirement account or seek venture capital to start the new business.

People Like to Eat

Entrepreneurs could open a restaurant or tea room

Several options available to entrepreneurs come in the food service category. They could open a restaurant or tea room. Opening a restaurant takes some financial backing or economic resources. The individual may decide to purchase an existing franchise; start a new franchise, or start his own independent establishment.

Depending on the municipalities’ rules, an entrepreneur might consider opening a hot dog kiosk. In Austin, Texas, one vendor has a cupcake kiosk. A kiosk enterprise requires fewer funds than a fully operational restaurant.

People Like to Eat Fresh Food

Entrepreneurs could start a grocery shopping and delivery service.

People like to eat fresh food, but they hate going to the grocery store. Entrepreneurs could offer a grocery shopping and delivery service. As people become busier and society ages, grocery delivery services are growing. Dry goods can be purchased on line and delivered through the mail. However fresh vegetables, fruits and dairy products need more immediate delivery methods.

Customers place their orders on line or by phone. The delivery service purchases the groceries and delivers them on the same day as they are ordered.

People Need Small Home Fixes

Entrepreneurs who are good with tools can offer an odd jobs or handyman service.

People good with their hands and not afraid of heights could offer an odd jobs service. Some activities, such as changing light bulbs or hanging Christmas lights, may require a tall ladder. Not many people desire to purchase or have a place to store a tall ladder. They will pay to have the service performed. A handyman could do small chores like caulking a bathtub or fixing a garbage disposal.

People Are Messy, But They Don't Like to Clean

A house-cleaning or maid company provides another opportunity for an Entrepreneur.

Another job opportunity for entrepreneurs is a house-cleaning or maid service. People have always been willing to pay to have someone clean their house, windows and bathrooms. A couple of these companies already exist and this could be a franchise opportunity.

People Love Their Pets

Entrepreneurs can make money by doing someone's pet chores.

Pets have taken on a very important role in society and people are willing to pay for their care. Pet- sitting has become a popular business. When people travel, they don’t want to leave their pets in the kennel, so they are willing to hire someone to check on their pets, walk them and empty litter boxes. Secondly, people are very time-conscious and they are willing to employ someone to pick-up extra pet food and litter. They are also willing to have someone take Fido to the veterinarian for his shots. They will also pay someone to walk the dog while they are at work or school.

Society Is Aging

Society is aging and senior citizens may need occasional help.

People are getting older and sometimes they need extra help. They may not need to reside in an assisted living facility or need medical attention, but they still may need help sometimes. Sons and daughters may not like to leave their parents alone for extended periods of time. Senior citizen sitting services are needed and entrepreneurs could provide that service.
