Print Images On Teacups

Whether you are interested in printing an image onto a teacup for business or for personal reasons, you can accomplish this quite easily by working through a professional printing service. Many printing shops offer customized printing on teacups, coffee mugs and other items. Some require bulk orders, so look carefully at ordering requirements if you want to print a special image onto a single teacup.

Instructions

Printing Your Teacup Online

1. Locate the image you want to have printed onto your teacup. Start with an image that is the highest resolution possible for the best printing results. Save the image to your computer's hard drive, if you're using an online service, or have a clearly printed copy of the image at the ready to give to a local printing shop. You can also save the image onto a disk and deliver it to the printing shop in that manner.

2. If you've chosen to utilize an online service, open your computer's Internet browser and visit printing service websites. Compare the services offered as well as costs and minimum ordering requirements. If you wish to order only one item a time, look for a company that has no minimum order size.

3. Choose the teacup you want to have your image printed on. Review the printing service's guidelines for submitting images, making note of any specific requirements for image type or size.

4. Click on the teacup of your choice to begin editing and creating your customized design. Each printing service website features different ways to edit and personalize your orders, so testing multiple sites before your purchase may help you decide which company to choose.

5. Upload the image you want to have printed on your teacup using the printing service's "Upload" button and editor. Complete any editing. Some services will allow you to alter the image size and the rotation degree. Some also allow the addition of text.

6. Complete your order. Enter payment and shipping information. The printing company then takes care of the printing and shipping of your customized teacup.

Printing Locally

7. Determine your budget for this project before choosing a company to print your cups or teacups. Gather the image(s) you would like to have printed on your cups and save the files to a portable USB drive, to a portable hard drive or to a disk, as previously mentioned, so you can transfer them to your local printing shop.

8. Use your phone book to find local printing shops near you. Call them to find out their capabilities for printing on the type of teacups or other cups in your possession. If you already have the teacups handy, you may need to show them to staff members at the printing shop in person so they may determine if their machines can handle the printing job. Otherwise, inquire if they have cups to print on and also ask about their pricing to get an idea of the overall costs of the project.

9. When you visit the shop with your image, you can ask the printers to show you a preview of how your cups will look once they are finished. Also ask to see samples of previous printing jobs and make sure they are up to your standards. Allow the printers to save a copy of your image and image files on their computer so they can begin the printing job. Some printing jobs may take a few hours while others may take a few days so make sure you understand the time line before placing your order.
