Make Dog Cots

Make a dog cot and keep your pup comfortable.

Most dog owners can attest to the beckoning call of their pooch's eyes. One look of your puppy's peepers and it's likely you'd do anything for it. So, while you're out buying new chew toys and treats, you can pick up the supplies to make a cot, so your dog will always have a nice place to sleep.

Instructions

1. Cut the 10 feet of PVC into two 37.5-inch headboard pieces, two 32-inch bed rail pieces and four 2 1/4-inch connector pieces. Measure the length from your dog's paw to its elbow. Cut four pieces to this measurement. They will be the cot's legs.

2. Attach the four elbow joints to the ends of the headboard pieces. Insert the four connector pieces to the open ends of the elbow joints.

3. Attach the four tee joints to the bed rail pieces, connecting them by the center hole of the tee joint. Attach the top of each tee joint to the connectors of the headboard pieces. You should now have the frame of the cot.

4. Attach the leg pieces to the open holes of the tee joints. Measure the frame of the cot and trim your material to this size. Lay the material over the frame and screw the fabric corners into each of the cot's joints.
