Dog Agility Courses In Georgia

Dog Agility Courses in Georgia

Dog agility training is a fast-paced sport where an owner directs a dog using speech, hand and body movements through an obstacle course in the least amount of time with the greatest amount of accuracy. Competition courses cover an area of 100 feet by 100 feet. The agility judge determines the placement of obstacles such as tunnels, jumps, weave poles, A-frames, see-saws, and dog walks. All of Georgia's dog agility courses are affiliated with training centers.

Atlanta Dog Trainer, LLC

Atlanta Dog Trainer, LLC owned by Susie Aga, offers a six-week class in basic, intermediate and advanced agility training. Intermediate and advanced classes include 12 practice sessions. In the basic class, you and your dog will learn the obstacles and begin obstacle sequences. The intermediate and advanced class will fine-tune obedience training and include more obstacles, and the layout is changed periodically to stimulate your dog's problem-solving abilities. Dogs learn hand signals and the name of each obstacle. The advanced class includes tighter configurations, more jumps, turns and weave poles. Atlanta Dog Agility, in Alpharetta, Georgia, has extensive and well-placed adult and puppy agility courses.
